I was sad to see our Premier Blain Higgs to announce that there would be no pipeline for Energy East!! No pipeline for Canada's largest refinery. Prior to Confederation- New Brunswick and Saint John were a thriving economic business center. Everything past through or ports and Upper Canada, needed our goods & our business people to make Canada stronger nation. Upper Canada had to get New Brunswick on side to join their confederation.
Upper Canada, bribed us with a railway, took over our ports, restricted & taxed goods coming into our port and lured our business people to upper Canada. Look at us now-- a have not province needing handouts from richer provinces. Ottawa has done everything they can to keep us economically poor. Shame on Ottawa for allowing Quebec -- TO ROB NEW BRUNSWICK OF THE OPPORTUNITY TO GROW THEIR BUSINESSES AND ALSO ROBBING OUR WESTERN PROVINCES OF THE OPPORTUNITY TO SELL THEIR GOODS LOCALLY.
